Gyotaku is a Japanese art form traditionally used by fishermen to record their catch using organic ink and rice paper. The word translates from Japanese as Gyo = Fish and Taku = Print.
The same techniques have been used to make this artwork. Each Trout has been printed individually from a real fish. After printing, this fish was then wet mounted onto another piece of rice paper to give the piece more strength and mounted into a white card mount.
Finally, each piece is stamped in red with my unique, personal Hanko Chop (seal) to identify it as my work.
All the fish used in my artwork are printed several times after which they are cleaned and either eaten, buried or fed to the local seagulls! Nothing is wasted!

All items are shipped by 2nd Class Royal Mail within 3-5 working days of the order. Shipping is free within the UK only. Please contact me for shipping costs outwith the UK.
Items will only be refunded if they are damaged on receipt. Please contact me within 14 days with photographs of the damaged item and the original packaging.
Cancellations must be within 48 hours of the order. The order cannot be cancelled once it has been posted out.
Returns must include the original packaging and are at the buyer's expense.
I am happy to exchange goods to the value of the original purchase.
Any exchanges which are more expensive than the original purchase price will be invoiced for the difference and the exchange will not be made until this has been paid.
Conversely, a refund will be made in the event that the exchange is priced less than the original purchase. This will be made by bank transfer or via Paypal. No cash refunds can be given.
